The Big Risk

In a fine performance of his old standard Ode to Rigidity, Sam agreed to try something new. While at the National Zoo, he and his 6 year old friends were on a mission for ice cream. When we spotted a gelato cart, everyone was thrilled--except Sam. I warned him that, while delicious, gelato is not the same as ice cream. After expressing his displeasure about this, and insisting that we walk around to see if there was an ice cream cart around the corner, he finally consented to try the gelato. Miracle of miracles, it actually tasted good!

He's a risk taker, that boy.
